Traudel Mischner-Hermann
In addition to design
responsibility for the entire Teddy-Hermann line, Traudel Mischner-Hermann is an award
winning designer in her own right. She is the granddaughter of the founder,
Bernhard Hermann. Along with growing up in the business, she complemented her
career by attending the College for Graphic, Ceramic, and Production Design in
Nurnberg, Germany. The skills acquired here helped with the design of patterns
for three-dimensional animals. Working in the factory, under the guidance of
her grandfather and uncles, along with her schooling, helped her to achieve
the competence required of a world class designer.
The inspirations for
her creations come from many varied sources. Ideas come from customers,
stories remembered from childhood, and special events. A number of designs are
inspired by holiday themes from here in the U.S. and in Europe. Many of her
ideas arrive in the middle of the night and she spends her next waking hours
developing the style, material and apparel for the new bear. Once in awhile,
motivation comes from a unique plush material or color. But all the ideas
developed by Traudel Mischner-Hermann turn into loveable teddy bears that can be found on this website.
When asked who were her
favorites, she declined answering for fear of hurting the
other bears� feelings. But after some prodding she admitted that she had a
soft spot for Lorenz, Luis and Jakob who can be seen below.

Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth II is made of pure white mohair plush. She wears a red velvet cape which is held on with a gold clasp, and the gold crown of her office.

Allegro is the newest member of the Musical Bears Family, the 2006 addition to this recently formed quartet. He is made of high quality, long, fluffy, tan mohair and plays his favorite tune "Let Me Be Your Teddy Bear".
